Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Ruhengeri
You will be greeted by our guide upon arrival, and then transferred to Ruhengeri. After a brief city tour in Kigali, you will visit the memorial site for the genocide that took place in Rwanda. You will be transferred to the town of Ruhengeri later in the day for supper and overnight accommodations.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Parc National Des Volcans
Gorilla Trekking: On day 2 of the 4 Days Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Tour, you will wake up to early breakfast and later head out for briefing from the park officials. Following that, you will begin your Rwanda gorilla trekking adventure. Trekking with gorillas is an experience that can only be had once in a person’s lifetime. When you are ready, the rangers will take you very far into the jungle to look for gorillas. You will go through the jungle on foot until you eventually come face to face with the gorillas, at which point you will have one hour to observe and photograph them. Following that, you will make your way back to the meeting place to find your guide, and then you will make your way back to the lodge.
Cultural Experience In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to participate in a cultural experience by going on an optional village tour led by a resident local guide. Come back for supper, and stay the night.
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
Transportation to Nyungwe: An early breakfast will be given, and then you will start the trip to the Nyungwe forest national park while stopping for lunch along the way. You will have opportunities to stop along the way for sightseeing, to watch birds, and, if you feel it necessary, to snap some photographs. Dinner and retiring for the night
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Departure
Chimpanzee Trekking: On the final day of the 4 Days Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Tour, you will have breakfast and then go for a briefing before entering the forest for chimpanzee trekking, searching for the active and playful fellows in the Nyungwe forest. You will be able to see these chimpanzees in the Nyungwe forest. It is not difficult to locate the chimpanzees since they are constantly moving around and making noise while they are doing so. Chimp trekking typically lasts for around three hours.
After that, you will be transferred back to Kigali, and lunch will be provided for you along the way. If it wasn’t feasible to do the city tour on the day of your arrival, you’ll get a quick introduction to the city before being sent to the airport for your next flight
