Day 1: Arrival In Uganda
Our Safari Guide from African Based Safaris will Meet You Upon Arrival At Entebbe International Airport And Convey You To A Hotel In Kampala. If You Have Arrived In Uganda On An Early Departure, You Will Be Given A Brief Tour Of Kampala.
Day 2: Travel To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After An Early Breakfast, You Will Depart From Kampala And Travel Approximately 9-10 Hours West To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest To Commence Your 20-Day Uganda Safari. You Will Have The Opportunity To Stand In Two Hemispheres At Once And Take Photographs During A Brief Halt At The Equator. You Will Continue Traveling Through The Verdant Undulating Hills Typical Of This Region Of The Country. You Will Have Lunch In Mbarara Before Continuing To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Where You Will Arrive Late In The Afternoon.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking And Cultural Exposure
After An Early Breakfast, You Will Travel To The Park Headquarters Where You Will Be Briefed By The Guides Before Beginning Your Quest For The Giant Gorillas In The Dense Bwindi Forest. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Is Renowned For Its Impressive Mountain Gorillas, But It Is Impossible To Anticipate How Long It Will Take To Track Them Down Because Their Movement Is Unpredictable.

Day 4: Travel To Lake Bunyonyi
On the 4th day of your 20 Days Uganda Safari, after Breakfast, You Will Travel To Lake Bunyonyi. The Lake Is Reportedly The Second-Deepest Lake In Africa And One Of The Most Attractive Locations In Western Uganda. It Is Also One Of The Few Sites In The Country Where Swimming Is Safe Due To The Absence Of Bilharzia. The Trip Will Take Between 6-7 Hours, And You Will Have Lunch En Route. Dinner And Lodging Will Be At One Of The Numerous Lodges Surrounding The Lake.
Day 5: Canoeing And Hiking On Lake Bunyonyi And Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park
This Morning, You Have The Option Of Canoeing On The Lake Or Hiking In The Surrounding Hills. The Terrain Surrounding The Lake Consists Of Steep Slopes Covered With Thick, Verdant Vegetation That Protrudes From The Water’s Edge. Bunyonyi Translates To “Place Of Little Birds,” And As The Name Suggests, The Lake Is Teeming With Fauna. You Have The Option Of Going On A Canoe Journey To See Water Animals And Birds, Swimming, Or Hiking To A Viewpoint In The Hills To View The Volcano Mountain Ranges At The Rwandan Border. You Will Travel To Queen Elizabeth National Park In The Afternoon.
Day 6: Game Drive And Boat Launch On Kazinga Channel
You Will Rise Early For A Game Drive In The Park During Which You Will See, Among Other Animals, Lions, Elephants, Topis, Leopards, Bushbucks, Cape Buffaloes, Defassa Waterbucks, Giant Forest Hogs, And Uganda Kobs. Later In The Afternoon, You Will Embark On A Two-Hour Excursion Along The Kazinga Channel, Which Connects Lakes George And Edward. The Cruise Will Transport You Through An Area With The Highest Concentration Of Hippos, And You Will See Numerous Animals Drinking From The Water’s Edge. This Launch Cruise Provides An Excellent Opportunity To Take Photographs, Observe Wildlife, And Observe Aquatic Animals.
Day 7: Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park
Start Your Four-Hour Journey To Kibale Forest National Park After Breakfast. On The Way To Kibale National Park, You Will Have A Magnificent View Of The Fabled “Mountains Of The Moon,” Which Are Visible From The Road To Fort Portal. After Lunch In Fort Portal, You Will Continue To Kibale Forest National Park. Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking And Swamp Walk For Bird Watching
After Breakfast, You Will Travel To Kibale Forest National Park To Observe Primates. The Activity Begins At 8:00 A.M. With A Briefing On The Rules For Trekking Chimpanzees, After Which You Enter The Forest In Pursuit Of Them. You Will See Other Primates Such As Grey-Cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blue-Tailed And Red-Tailed Monkeys Swinging Through The Foliage Of This Dense Forest During The Half-Day Hike. On the 10th day of your 20 Days Uganda Safari, At 6.30 Am, You Will Depart For A Sunrise Game Drive On The Nyamsika Plateau To View Cape Buffaloes, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Uganda Kob, Hartebeests, And Waterbucks. You Might Also See Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor Reedbuck, Timid Sitatunga, Bush Duiker, Warthog, And Bush Pig, In Addition To Large Carnivores Such As Lions, Leopards, And Spotted Hyenas.
The Park Is Home To Six Species Of Primates, With Chimpanzees And Olive Baboons Ranking First And Second, Respectively. Crocodiles And Hippos Can Be Observed Along The Nile’s Borders. The Goliath Heron, Egyptian Geese, Pelican, Bee-Eaters, Kingfishers, Hornbill, Cormorant, Saddle-Billed Stork, And Shoe-Billed Stork Are Among The More Prevalent Birds That Can Be Observed.
You Will Return To Your Lodge For A Late Breakfast And Some Relaxation Before Embarking On A Boat Excursion Upstream On The Tranquil Victoria Nile To The Base Of The Falls In The Afternoon. You Will See Hippos, Crocodiles, Waterbuck, And A Diversity Of Birds, Including The Rare Shoebill Stork, Along The Way. The Boat Pauses Just A Few Tens Of Meters From The “Devil’s Cauldron” For Photographs Of The Magnificent And Photogenic Murchison Falls.
Day 11: Visit The Top Of The Fall And Travel To Kitgum Town
On the 11th day of your 20 Days Uganda Safari, you Will Visit The “Top Of The Thunderous Murchison Falls” After Breakfast, Where You Will Observe The River Nile Squeezing Itself Into A 7-Meter Gorge Before Plunging 40 Meters Down In A Thunderous Explosion And Then Flowing Into A Very Peaceful River Whose Water Banks Are Teeming With An Abundance Of Water And Land Animals As Well As Birds. You Will Then Embark On A 9-Hour Journey To Kitgum, Located In The Northern Region Of Uganda, Where You Will Spend The Night. You Will Have Dinner And Spend The Night At The Accommodation You Have Reserved.
Day 12: Drive To Kidepo Valley National Park
On A Rough Road, You Will Proceed Towards Kidepo Valley National Park. The Trip From Kitgum To Kidepo Will Take Between Four And Seven Hours, Depending On The Weather And Road Conditions In This Portion Of The Country. You Will Stay The Night In One Of The Park Lodges.
Day 13: Game Drive And Safari Walk In Kidepo
You Will Rise Early For A Game Drive In The Park To Observe Carnivores Returning To Their Habitats Following A Night Of Hunting. In Addition To Zebras, Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, And Leopards, Kidepo Is The Only Place In Uganda Where Cheetahs And Ostriches Can Be Found. You Will Return To The Lodge For A Late Breakfast, Rest, And Then Embark On A Nature Trek In The Middle Of The Afternoon. In The Late Afternoon, You Will Return To Your Lodge For Supper And The Night.
Day 14: Visit Kanangorok Hot-Springs
After An Early Breakfast, You Will Travel To The Border Between Uganda And Sudan, Where Hot Springs Are Located. Along The Game Trails, Numerous Ostriches Are Readily Spotted In This Area. After Enjoying The Tranquility And Majesty Of The Park On A Leisurely Drive In The Late Afternoon, You Will Retire To Your Lodge For Dinner And The Night.
Day 15: Cultural Village Tour In Kidepo
On A Guided Cultural Village Excursion, You Will Learn About The Nomadic Lifestyle Of The Karenga And Kidepo Region’s Inhabitants. During This Cultural Excursion, You Will Visit The Karamajong Homesteads (Manyattas) And View The Kraals Of Cattle, Traditional Costumes, Stools, Spears, Headdresses, Knives, Bows, And Arrows, Jewelry, Grinding Stones, And Utensils Crafted By The Indigenous People. Evening Game Drives Will Allow You To Learn More About Kidepo’s Wildlife.
Day 16: Travel To Sipi
After Breakfast, You Will Depart For The Sipi Falls On Mount Elgon. This Will Be A Nine-Hour Journey Through Kotido And Soroti, Reaching In The Late Afternoon. You Will Have Dinner And Spend The Night At The Accommodation You Have Reserved.
Day 17: Hike To Sipi Falls
After Breakfast, You Will Go On A Trek To See The 100-Meter-High Sipi Falls, Which Cascade Down A 100-Meter Cliff. You Will Follow The Difficult Trail To Two Additional Cascades. On Your Way, You Will Pass By Cornfields, Coffee Plantations, Banana Groves, And Traditional African Homesteads As You Take In The Spectacular Views Of The Valley. Abseiling Down The Mountain To The Base Of The World-Famous Sipi Falls Is The Only Way To Experience The True Thrill Of Viewing The Cascades From A Very Close Distance. You Will Witness A Magnificent Sunset Before Returning To Your Retreat At The End Of The Day.
Day 18: Transfer To Jinja
On the 18th day of your 20 Days Uganda Safari, we Depart Early In The Morning For Jinja, Where We Will Visit The Source Of The Nile And Partake In A Variety Of Thrilling Activities, Such As White Water Rafting, Jet Boating, Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, Quad Biking, And Bungee Leaping. You Will Have The Opportunity To Stand In Two Hemispheres At The Same Time And Take Photographs During A Stopover At The Equator. You Will Arrive In The Late Afternoon And Spend The Night At The Hotel You Have Reserved.
Day 19: Adventure On The Nile
After Brunch, You Will Engage In The Exciting Activity Of Whitewater Rafting On The Nile River. The Rafting Begins At 09:30 Am At The Source Of The Nile With A Thorough Briefing And The Donning Of Rafting Gear. Rafting Is Conducted On An 18-Kilometer Portion Of The Nile River, And Prior Rafting Experience Is Not Required. The First Few Rapids Are Low-Grade (1, 2) In Order To Develop The Participants’ Confidence Before Guiding Them Gradually Into The More Difficult Rapids. This Adventure Rafts A Total Of Eight Major Rapids To Maximize The Adrenaline Sensation. After The Rafting Excursion, You Will Enjoy A Barbecue Lunch And Beverages Before Returning To Kampala.
Day 20: Transfer To Entebbe For Your Departure Flight
