DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; DRIVE TO GOMA
On arrival, the safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will have a city tour and then lunch in musanze and later cross to Congo and then proceed to Goma. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; MOUNT NYIRAGONGO HIKE
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to kibati ranger post where the hikers are briefed before starting the hike. After the briefing, you will begin the hike which takes 5 hours with 2 stopovers. The hike has stunning views of the country and on arrival at the summit, you will be served dinner and camp there as you enjoy the lava boiling lake.
DAY 3; DESCEND MOUNT NYIRAGONGO AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will descend mount Nyiragongo and head back to kibati ranger post where you will meet your driver and embark on the journey to bwindi impenetrable national park. You will cross to Rwanda and have lunch in musanze then cross to Uganda. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning after having breakfast, you will be transferred to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter into the forest in search of the mountain gorilla and the trekking takes 30 minutes to 6 hours. Once the gorillas are spotted, you will spend an hour with them as you watch their behaviors as well as take photos and record videos for memories. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali via katuna border. On arrival, you can opt to have a Kigali city tour or be dropped off at the Kigali international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
