7 Days Murchison Falls And Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking Safari is an amazing safari which takes you to two national parks where you will spot wildlife species while on the game drive and boat cruise. After you will have an encounter with the chimpanzees within kibale national park and its famous for having the largest population of the chimpanzees of about 1500 thus making your safari to Uganda a memorable one.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
On arrival, the safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will start on the journey to Kampala for a city tour. You will have a stopover at Uganda wildlife center then proceed to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit places such as Uganda museum, king’s palace, Ndeere cultural center, and Uganda martyrs namugongo shrine among others. After the visit, you will return to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park. While on the journey, you will have a stopover at the ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will spot the rhinos in the wild as well as enroute lunch. After, you will proceed to Murchison falls national park. On arrival, you will have a guided nature walk to the top of the falls and the hike starts off at Barkers point which takes you through the devils cauldron and finally winds up at the falls. After you will head to your lodge for a refreshment, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; HOT AIR BALLOON AND AFTERNOON HIKE TO TOP OF THE FALLS
After lunch, you will head to paraa where you will be briefed by the park guide to your hike at the top of the falls. The hike starts off at barker’s point taking you through the devil’s cauldron and finally end up at the falls. The trail leads you up to the water’s edge and thus, you will get to spot a narrow gorge through which the river plunges. After the hike, you will return to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 4; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND EVENING BOAT CRUISE
In the early morning after having breakfast, you will head for an early morning game drive on the northern bank of river Nile. The game drive takes 3 to 5 hours as you spot wildlife species within the park. While on the game drive, you will spot animals such as zebras, buffaloes, Uganda kob, waterbucks, impala, elephants, Rothschild giraffes among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will have an amazing boat cruise on the Albert Nile. The boat cruise begins at 5:30pm and offers an amazing view of the sunset reflected on the river. While on the boat cruise, you will have amazing views of Murchison falls as well as spot crocodiles, hippos and a number of bird species such as cormorants, rare shoebill and kingfisher among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to kibale national park. The drive from Murchison falls to kibale takes 7 to 8 hours with a stopover for lunch and later proceed to the park. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for a refreshment, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be driven to kanyanchu visitor’s center in the national park. The national park is a home to over 1500 chimpanzees thus making the national park the best for chimpanzee trekking safaris in Uganda. The trekking takes 2 to 5 hours and once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, hunt, feed and breastfeed as you take pictures and record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will spot a number of bird species such as superb sunbird, black bishop bird, hairy-breasted barbet, yellow-spotted barbet and the rare shoebill stork among others. The sanctuary has over 138 bird species and after the walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 7; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
